For holiday tunes! Today I brought my collection into the office. Wonder how many colleagues will hate me for it!
Last night marked another night in which I woke up after sleeping a couple hours & needed to reach for the Advil PM after an hour or so of tossing & turning. This morning, I decided it warranted treating myself to a grande nonfat latte & a Starbucks Christmas mug impulse buy. It will go so well with my Christmas topiary pedastal mug circa Christmas 2005.
When I got out of the gym for my run, I was daydreaming about the leftover lasagna reserved for dinner when I realized I really wanted the greenest, crispest, freshest salad, so I hightailed it to the supermarket salad bar and risked a speeding ticket going home because I was so ready to eat it.
I’m so glad that–and not craving chocolate and french fries–is my body’s response to being a little dehydrated and not eating enough veggies today.
I got my workout out of the way early with a morning spin class. Then it was groceries, snuggling on the sofa with Evan watching Walking Dead, making a delicious lasagna for dinner & camping out on the sofa reading and watching Teen Mom. Don’t judge!
Today I am thankful that breakfast is oats, cooked in the rice cooker with 1/4 cup of egg whites and topped with a tablespoon of Nutella. Perfect!
Is there any better day of the week? For me, it means wrapping up some projects at work, getting organized for next week, few meetings (for some reason no one wants to have a Friday meeting!) & the start of the weekend.
I am so incredibly thankful that Evan & I have similar taste in music, near monthly concert dates, live in an area that attracts great artists & the expendable income to do this.
Sufjan Stevens was more amazing than I could have imagined. One of the best concerts ever!
